Request Recycle Kit
Our collection program is designed for any school, church, social group, business, or individual able to ship a minimum of 10 cell phones, PDA's, or MP3 players, 10 laser cartridges or 20 inkjet cartridges at one time. Your cartridges must appear on our pricelist, be undamaged and have not been previously refilled. Phones and MP3 players must be undamaged and in working order.
Inside your Recycle Kit you will find free FedEx shipping labels and instructions on how to pack your items for shipping.
What kinds of cartridges do you buy?
We purchase undamaged inkjet and laser/toner cartridges for most printers, copiers and fax machines. Laser/toner models must have Original Equipment Manufacturer labels ( OEM ) and can not show signs of having been previously refilled. The inkjet models can be either OEM, or remanufactured with the following stipulation: remanufactured "Non-Virgin" inkjet cartridges must have the remanufactures' label (e.g. Office Depot, Staples, OfficeMax). If the Virgin cartridge appears on our current Price List for $1.00 to $2.95, we pay .20 cents each for the NV model. If the Virgin cartridge appears on our current Price List for $3.00 or more, we pay $1.00 each for the NV model.
As always, cartridges must be undamaged, pass circuit testing, and be shipped with
20 or more accepted Virgin models.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY REMANUFACTURED LASER/TONER MODELS.
How can I tell if my inkjet cartridges are damaged?
Inkjet cartridges are very delicate and must be in perfect condition in order to function properly after being remanufactured. For this reason, it's important that you inspect your cartridges before shipping them, as we can only pay for those that can be successfully remanufactured. Please click here to follow our visual inkjet cartridge inspection guide.
Epson Cartridges
eCycle Group is now recycling slim-bodied Epson cartridges. We will pay $0.05 for each empty slim-bodied Epson cartridge that is undamaged.
How can I tell if a cartridge is REMANUFACTURED OR REFILLED
Check the cartridge label. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) like HP, Canon, Brother and Lexmark will have their label on the cartridge. Look for signs that the cartridge has been refilled: small drill holes, caps attached with tape.
What models of cell phones do you buy?
We purchase all cell phone models. If a model does not appear on our list, we will still accept it and pay a minimum of .10 cents.
What condition do my cell phones have to be in?
Phones should be undamaged and able to power up. Cracked LCD screens or broken bodies will not be accepted. Phones must have the battery and back cover. Please include the chargers if you have them, however these are not required for full payment.
How can eCycle Group pay so much?
By encouraging our collectors to become partners in the recycling process, eCycle Group has lowered operating costs, and passed that savings on to you. By shipping product in reused boxes, by sending us only virgin cartridges and undamaged electronics found on our pricelist, and by packing those products properly, our collectors have increased the amount they earn.
Does eCycle Group pay for shipping?
Yes, we pay all shipping costs, as long as you send us at least 10 cell phones, PDA's or MP3 players, 20 inkjets, or 10 toners that are virgin, undamaged and appear on our current Pricelist. Non-virgin inkjet cartridges or Epson cartridges DO NOT count towards your minimum shipment requirements. They must accompany an accepted number of virgin models.
Do you guarantee payment for all cartridges we send?
eCycle Group will only pay for cartridges that are in good working order. All non-virgin, and damaged cartridges will not be counted towards your cash total. Shipments with failure rates above 20 percent may incur shipping charges. Please pack your cartridges, PDA's and cell phones carefully.
What happens if I do not meet the minimums?
You may send less than the minimums stated above. However, we will have to deduct shipping costs from your total. Anyone with fewer than our minimums is encouraged to donate their cartridges and phones to a local school or church group fundraiser.
Where do I ship my cartridges cell phones, PDA's and MP3 players?
Inkjet cartridges, cell phones, and MP3 players are to be shipped to our Ojai, CA collection center. Toner cartridges are to be shipped to our Camarillo, CA center. We will supply you with different shipping labels for both centers. If a shipment is sent to the wrong center, we will have to deduct the cost of reshipping to the correct center.
How do I ship my cartridges, phones, PDA's and MP3 players?
That depends on the size of your shipment. The majority of our collectors use our prepaid shipping labels which they simply apply to their sealed boxes, then call the FedEx to schedule a free pick up. We also include a checklist to identify damaged and non-virgin cartridges, as well as packing instructions to help insure that your cartridges reach us safely.
What are the maximum shipping dimensions for each package?
Packages of printer cartridges and cell phones shipped to eCycle Group which are 150 lbs. or 119 inches in length or 165 inches in combined length, width and height are considered 'oversized' and will be assessed an additional charge of $45.
What happens if cartridges, phones, PDA's and MP3'S are damaged during shipping?
If the damage is the fault of our shipping company, eCycle Group will file a freight claim and absorb the loss. If the cartridges are found to be improperly packed, we will not assume responsibility.
